Kite Addict Colombia was born in 2011 with the creation of the first school of Kiteboarding in Cabo de la Vela, Guajira – Colombia. Cabo de la Vela is within the indigenous territory of the Wayuu. Being a tourist place because of its beautiful nature and its constant winds, the school grew rapidly in the following years. The sport caught the attention of local youth, who began to learn, practice and nowadays to work in the kite school. This support emerged in a Wayuu competitor for the qualifications of the Olympic Youth Games in Argentina in 2018.
After 7 years living and working in Cabo de la Vela we decided to move to Riohacha to bring this exciting sport to this tourist city, with its beautiful beach of Caribbean palms and white sand, which makes it a great place to start this sport, practice it and enjoy some excellent Downwinds. Now our Kite School is situated in Riohacha, la Guajira, Colombia.
With 15 years of experience in teaching, administration, creation and breeding of high performance athletes, we are consolidated as one of the best schools in Colombia and pride of the great community of water sports in our country.
For having worked in all Kite Spots in Colombia, where friendships and work associations were formed, in addition to our national and international events with professional guests, our recognition is worldwide.
Our school has a team of instructors with extensive experience in the practice and teaching of the sport. We work with the best kite brands, including Cabrinha and Duotone Kiteboarding.
In Kitesurfing classes, the principles and methodologies of the most important organizations are followed and used. Kitesurf classes and courses are managed and structured so that the student easily learns to practice kitesurfing safely and have fun.
